Current Event Classes

Current Events 101

This is an entry level course for students interested in learning more about the world around them. They will broaden their knowledge of major issues going on in our own country and around the world. This course will teach them to form strong opinions on controversial issues and ultimately, enhance their success in advanced English, History, and Philosophy classes later in life.

Current Events & Extemporaneous Speaking

In addition to learning about global affairs and core issues going on in this world today, students will learn to develop persuasive speeches on different topics with a limited amount of prep time.

Advanced Global Affairs

This is a more sophisticated learning experience where students are given an opportunity to break down key concepts related to international relations and global affairs. In addition to learning about a variety of important topics, they will enhance their ability to identify key research, analyze its information and then develop their own perspective on the issues at hand.
